meeting time

Yesterday we received an email asking us to meet for an interview.

Fabulous.  We are heading to Chicago in two weeks to meet in the Peace Corps offices with our assigned recruiter.  From the emails, it seems that I will go first, and then there is half an hour when m and I meet and interview together, and then m will have his meeting. 

It’s a long drive, but totally worth it.  Plus we can see some of our favorite family members and do some fun Chicago-stuff.

At this point, I feel pretty confident.  I’m not sure whether it is because I haven’t thought much about it, or that I am just so ready for this to happen, but I’m not totally freaking out… yet.

Our recruiter sent us some information regarding questions that will happen during the interview, like why we want to do this, our we prepared for the time, what we expect, etc.

I feel like I have been preparing for these questions for the longest time.  Ever since we begin focusing on this together – over three years ago – I feel like these questions have been rolling around.

I’m not apprehensive to answer why we want to do this.  Without even batting an eyelash I can tell you that it isn’t so much a want as a need, an incredible passion that has become such a driving force in everything that I think about and do and want to do.

I’ll avoid the cheesy monologue, but I will take note of the fact that, because I am getting more and more excited, and less and less nervous… I think we are on the right track, baby.
